  I had a highly disappointing experience with Huli Shipping during my international move from Waterloo to Bay area. The initial estimate I was given was around $2,700, but the final cost ended up being more than $5200, even though I only added a few extra boxes. On top of that inflated price, when the items arrived, they charged me an extra $500+ just to deliver the items to my place because the package is "too big for them". To make matters worse, my belongings were severely damaged in transit. They broke my TV (which cost $2,000) and my coffee table ($500 before tax). When I raised the issue, their only solution was a meager $150 refund. That doesn't even cover the cost to dispose of the broken furniture, let alone the item values or the expensive shipping costs. Between the deceptive pricing and the lack of accountability for damaging my property, I cannot recommend their services. Edit: Despite their public comment above claiming they would "contact me," the situation has only worsened. Since their reply: Dishonest Defenses: They are now attempting to evade liability by falsely claiming I "pre-packed" my 65-inch Sony TV myself—despite my contract explicitly including "Professional Packing" services and the fact that their own crew handled the unit at the origin. Structural Negligence: They have failed to address the blatant gross negligence involving my coffee table, where the mounting brackets were physically ripped out of the solid wood frame. This is structural destruction, not standard transit wear. Low-ball Settlement: After destroying over $2,500 worth of property, they "increased" their insultingly low offer from $150 to $300 CAD—which doesn't even cover the $500+ "oversize" delivery fee they forced me to pay at the destination. Warning to others: Don’t let their "we’ll contact you" replies fool you. They are not interested in a fair resolution; they are only interested in protecting their rating while refusing to pay for the damage they caused.

  We used Huli Shipping for a move to the US. As a freight forwarder, Huli Shipping relies on third-party companies to carry out the physical work. For the first stage of our move, including packing, loading, and transport, they subcontracted a local company. The packing crew, formed by four movers, was punctual, efficient, and polite. The loading phase was also handled professionally, but it took longer than expected, as only two movers were assigned. Once loaded, the shipping itself proceeded quickly and without delays. At the destination, the unloading was carried out by a crew subcontracted there. While the job was completed as required, there were some minor miscommunications. The administrative and paperwork process was less smooth. Differences between the shipping manifest format and the insurance documentation made it time-consuming to reconcile and complete the required forms. Additionally, we had to complete a final shipping manifest where all items had been relabeled, which added further administrative effort. It is also important to pay close attention to labor, materials and optional charges, as these can significantly increase the final invoice if not carefully reviewed. On a positive note, the account manager (Alex) and logistics coordinator (Tanya) were very responsive and efficient in answering emails throughout the process, which helped keep communication clear and timely. However, we would have appreciated being informed during the quotation stage that packing and loading would be carried out on separate days, as this was an important logistical detail for planning. Overall, the moving services were reliable and communication was strong.

  Huli are a great choice for shipping. We are shipping house items from Canada to New Zealand. We have found them to be responsive and helpful and a reliable service at a good price. My only recommendation would be make sure you know ahead of time and are clear on what items cannot be shipped to avoid disappointment.

  I used Huli Shipping Company for my sister’s move from Spain to Canada, and I had a very positive experience. The team worked very hard to keep me updated throughout the entire shipping process. Anthonette and Alex both provided excellent service. Anthonette was very professional in everything she did and showed great patience while assisting me. She made sure everything was well organized and handled smoothly. Alex was also very helpful and clear in answering all my questions.
